was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and moved to the Bay Area when he was three years old. When he was six, Ivor went to hear the great jazz saxophonist Stan Getz. It blew his young mind when he learned that the musicians were just making it up as they went along, and he resolved to learn to play the saxophone. He started playing and composing jazz music a few years later. Ivor studied music and psychology at Princeton University, and he now lives in San Francisco and studies composition at Mills.
